Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Zipod Wells collects, why, how it is used and protected, and the choices you have. Zipod Wells is operated by Zipod Wells LTD (“Zipod Wells”, “we”, “us”), Plt 190 Oladunni Ayandipo Close, Katampe, Kubwa, FCT Abuja. If you have any questions, contact us at support@zipodwells.com.
1. Who this policy covers
It covers:
- visitors to our website, including people who try the free preview on the home page;
- people who create a Zipod Wells account (“users”);
- businesses and their staff that our users find and contact through Zipod Wells (“buyers”).
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Business profile: business name, website, description, products, business type, target locations, buyer types and contact details you add.
- Content you create or edit in Zipod Wells, such as message drafts, notes, call outcomes and replies you paste in.
Information collected when you use the service
- Your website's public pages, which we read when you enter your website so we can understand what you sell.
- Activity in your account, such as searches run, messages approved and sent, and settings changed.
- Technical data: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and a one-way hash of your IP address used to limit free previews.
Information from connected accounts (only if you connect them; see section 4)
- Gmail or Outlook: your email address and access to send email and read the conversations of emails sent through Zipod Wells.
- Your own email server (SMTP) or WhatsApp Business account, if you connect one.
Information about buyers
- Publicly available business information, such as business name, category, address, website, business phone number and business email addresses published on the business's own website. We obtain this from business directories (including Google Maps data) and the businesses' public websites.
Payment information
- Payments are processed by Paystack. We receive your plan, payment status and a reference; we never see or store your full card details.
3. How we use information
- To provide the service: understand your business, find matching buyers, write messages, send the messages you approve, schedule follow-ups and track replies.
- To run your account, free trial and subscription, including reminders about your trial or plan.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and enforce limits (for example, daily free previews).
- To respond to support requests and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Gmail, Outlook and other connected accounts
Connecting a mailbox is optional. When you connect Gmail or Outlook, you sign in on Google's or Microsoft's own page; we never see your password. We receive an access token, stored encrypted, which you can revoke at any time in Zipod Wells's Settings or in your Google or Microsoft account.
We use this access only to:
- send the emails and follow-ups that you have approved, from your own address;
- read the conversations of emails sent through Zipod Wells, to detect buyer replies and bounces, so follow-ups stop when a buyer answers.
We do not read, store or analyse other emails in your mailbox. From each tracked conversation we store only what is needed to show you the reply: the reply text, sender, date and message reference.
Google user data. Zipod Wells's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- we use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features described above;
- we do not transfer it to others, except as needed to provide those features (see section 5), to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with your notice;
- we do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it;
- we do not use it to train or improve general artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models;
- no person reads it unless you ask us to (for support), it is needed for security or to comply with law, or it has been aggregated and anonymised.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Zipod Wells, under contracts that restrict how they use it:
- Anthropic (AI provider): business profile details, website text, buyer details and reply text, to analyse your business, score buyers, write messages and classify replies. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
- Google (Places API): search terms such as product and location, to find businesses.
- Google and Microsoft: to send and track email through the mailbox you connect.
- Meta (WhatsApp Business API): message content and recipient number, if you use API sending.
- Paystack: to process payments.
- Hosting, database and email-delivery providers that store data and send our system emails.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer, in which case this policy continues to apply.
6. Buyers contacted through Zipod Wells
If you received a message sent through Zipod Wells, it was sent by one of our users from their own email account or phone, after they reviewed and approved it. That user is responsible for the message and for having a lawful basis to contact you.
- Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Using it stops all further messages from that sender through Zipod Wells.
- You can also ask us to remove your information or stop contact from all Zipod Wells users by writing to support@zipodwells.com.
7. How long we keep information
- Account and business data: while your account is open. When you delete your account in Settings, your data is deleted from our live systems straight away and from backups within 30 days.
- Reply tracking covers emails sent in the last 45 days.
- Free-preview records (hashed IP address): kept for a short period to enforce daily limits.
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Unsubscribe and do-not-contact records: kept so we can keep honouring them.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords as secure hashes, encrypt mailbox and integration credentials at rest, and limit access to personal data to what is needed to run the service. No system is completely secure, and we will notify you and the relevant authorities of a data breach where the law requires it.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (including under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to:
- access, correct or delete your personal information;
- object to or restrict certain uses, or withdraw consent;
- receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
- complain to your data protection authority (in Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission).
You can edit your profile and disconnect any connected account in Settings, and delete your account at any time. For anything else, email support@zipodwells.com; we reply within 30 days.
10. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.
11. Cookies
We use only essential cookies: one to keep you logged in, and a short-lived one to protect mailbox connections. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
12. Children
Zipod Wells is a business service and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will tell users by email or in the app before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
